Loved the food here .. Very good quality and very quick service
Literally the best Chinese food I've ever had in my entire life ! Dragon Court straight up puts every other Chinese restaurant to shame . If you are looking for quality Chinese food then this is your place . It's almost unbelievable the difference between this restaurant and your average Chinese . It's like comparing Taco Bell to authentic Mexican food , or a Burger King burger to your dad's 4th of July straight off the grill burger . Quality authentic and absolutely delicious .
Good food best service
Some of the most delicious Chinese food I’ve ever had. You’d never know it by looking at the outside mall and parking lot where it’s located. Not sure what the deal is with the property but it’s worth navigating the humongous potholes in the lot and falling ceiling tiles inside. I just relocated to Charlotte from Chicago and have already been here twice . Really, really delicious, quality food
Menu is awesome, and dim sum on the weekends is a great experience
Hidden Gem in Charlotte. They definitely make me and my children feel like family every time we are there.
Even though Many shops are now closed, many shops with Asian flavor are still open including two huge Asian Supermarkets and a great Chinese restaurant which is tucked in the back corner.
My boyfriend and his family have been going here for dinner for quite a long time, and I get to share this place with them now too! Although externally, where Dragon Court sits, is not immediately eye-catching and could deter people from coming inside this rather vacant mall, Dragon Court always brings us back! The set up and decor is wonderfully simplistic and cozy, the staff is always friendly and helpful, and the food is amazing! Definitely am coming back, and would recommend to anyone to come and try Dragon Court!
Older building, but inside restaurant is not too bad.Food was delicious, well cooked. First time there so didn't really know what to expect. My buddy ordered everything and I just ate. Smaller portion dishes. My understanding was, the more you eat the more you pay. We ordered roughly 20 dishes, 2 fried rice, and an order of chicken wings (4 adults, 2 kids). No idea what the total cost was, but I imagine it was a lot. Staff was friendly. Service was quickly. Will most likely try again.
A unique experience just outside of NoDa. You walk through a practically abandoned mall and then walk into another world when entering The Dragons Court. Sundays are a must for an extensive selection of Dim Sum. Must eats include the Gai Lan, Turnip Cake, and Tendon. Fried Tofu tastes like custard when served perfectly hot. Very good and helpful waitstaff.
Very bad part of town.
This place is the real deal. Dim sum on the weekends is a must-- you won't be disappointed by their dumplings. Definitely order off the "authentic Chinese" section of the menu for the good stuff. All wait staff is very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!
Best Chinese food in NC.
This restaurant located in an abandoned mall. The road is full with potholes, and the entrance to the restaurant a bit scary, I won't go alone at night to that restaurant for sure. The restaurant self is outdated. The food are pretty good, I like their dimsum. The roast duck is not tender and a bit smelly can use more ginger and spices to remove the duck smell. The hongkong wonton soup is not that good. Furthermore Dragon court is an ok place to eat but there are better place to buy roast duck.
Food and service are phenomenal!
Bizarre atmosphere. Friendly staff, excellent food. Reminded me of NYC Chinatown spots.
In Charlotte there is no other Option. Being from NYC I've had better. On a scale of 1-10 its a 7
It was different, but good. They serve in family dishes to share with the whole table. I liked it.
The dim sum is so good also the authentic Chinese is also good.
I can say with all honesty that this was the worst dining experience of my life. We were not given a regular menu, but instead were asked to pick items out of a cart. All of the food was lukewarm, and it was some of the most foul tasting stuff I have ever eaten. We paid fifty dollars for a few small dishes, almost all of which we found to be inedible. We left it on the table. I'm an adventurous eater - I've enjoyed different types of liver, pork brains, chicken feet, all kinds of seafood.... The problem at Dragon Court was not the type of food - it was the quality and the preparation. The tea was alright and the staff were friendly. However I must rate this place 1/5 stars - I do not recommend.
Pretty decent at this Chinese place for being what it is
I've been coming here to this family own restaurant and is one of the best food and service I have ever received. If you're patient you will enjoy as I always do with my large family. God bless Thank youTony
Everything was so delicious!
Dimsum, old school, better than Atlanta Georgia, the mall is in ruins, old as dirt .your car could get stuck in the holes in the parking lot, consider it a adventure, where else can you get hashbrowns made of Taro, don't eat anything with shrimp in it .
Pretty impressive. Been all around different cities and states to try different dimsum restaurants and have to say this place had some of the best dimsum we have ever had especially their Hong Kong duck! Their dimsum tasted fresh unlike most that taste like it's been sitting in the freezer or fridge. The duck was definitely melt in your mouth. Great service as well!
Good food but decor and area really looks old
Always very good food, you have a huge variety but I'd recommend you try something new everytime you go because you know that's what being a foodie is all about.
A really good dim sum restaurant,I would recommend it to anyone and they have good service and good food
Best Dim Sum in Charlotte! Love love love the food and service. Hidden Treasure.
Friendly staff! Delicious food!
Great food great service the only thing is I went there and ate more than I should!!!
Always great food and service
Very authentic dim sum. I loved it but for food conservative people might be too authentic
The food is amazing and the portion sizes are huge! We passed through Charlotte on a road trip and picked this place randomly. Now we go to this restaurant every time we're remotely close!
Go to spot for dim sum. Cant go wrong. Carts on Saturdays and sundays.
Great San Francisco style Chinese food
Went for Dim Sum on a Sunday. I've had a lot of dim sum all over the U.S. and across east Asia and the dim sum here was more of your frozen mediocre type. It was passable if you're absolutely craving dim sum but don't expect anything great. The baked char siu baos were tasty at least. Not anything amazing but tasty.
I'm torn. The dim sum is great but I also had a very bad experience with them too. Really big fresh dumplings though
If you are here from Mon-Fri, dim sum are only serve from the manual. Come on the weekend to catch them rolling it out on carts. They have dim sum all day but if you want it fresh come before lunch. Don't come after 2pm or you'll have some left-over dim sum.
Best dim sum in the area
I go here atleast once a week! Charlie and the crew are always pleasant to deal with. The food is above all other chinese near and far! I lived in Dallas, TX for 2 years and could not find authentic Chinese food like dragon court! The food never disappoints! Do yourself a favor and try their food. Believe me, you'll be back!
Delicious Dim Sum, it was a real adventure in trying their extensive menu. I loved everything I got. The restaurant is family run and everyone I interacted with was lovely.
Best dimsum in Charlotte but surrounding location needs alot of remodeling. Might be a good thing as it may get too busy otherwise.
The place be in a ghetto run down shopping center. But food is decent. Got traditional Chinese dishes and dim sum. Not the best I've tasted but good for Charlotte.Update 8/5/20:They've been closed since March. My friend who knows the owner says they probably opening back up in September.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Cost of dining is very acceptable. Decent service but not expecting much from these more authentic Chinese restaurants (you just gotta understand, they don’t care to be known for courtesy. The dim sum is delicious and AWESOME! Then, the Peking duck is served beautifully and fully flavored. Probably the best in the greater Charlotte area. This is authentic Chinese dine in. The same you’ll get in San Fran or New York. Don’t expect to be catered to. The waiters are running around the floor the entire time and no one is actually assigned to you. Go to the host if nothing else. I’m just here to eat
If You're looking for Dim sum in Charlotte this is the Only Place We Go. Best Best Best in Charlotte..
Very great tasting Chinese food. The price is really low, the portion of the food is excellent, and the waiters are very friendly. The rice is excellent quality, like real Asian rice. The taste of the food is the perfect Asian-American taste, not too strong but rich in flavor. The exterior of the place is quite bad, but the food is excellent. Don't come on Sunday afternoon, it would be full with people.
Love the food, especially when they push the dim sum carts out. The Jellyfish Salad is really good. They push out the carts to your table Saturdays 10:30am to 2:30pm. Sundays 10:30am to 2:30pm.
If you want dim sum in Charlotte, then this is the place for you. Good food and good people.
Great food but no drink refill the whole hour and a half we were there
